Vigin cancelled destination

Hi we have pain a deposit to the flight guru to fly with virgin to EWR Newark NJ. We have seen on the internet Vitgin have stopped all flights there from heathrow. Flight guru have changed our flights and flight number to go to ewr  at a different time on a different a airline. They said we have to accept this or fly to jfk. As we booked to fly Virgin are we entitled to a refund..

I presume the alternative is United Airlines, no better or worse than Virgin. The alternative is Virgin to JFK which keeps the airline you want but the most important issue is when you want to travel. The US is not going to open to UK residents for some time yet. Your agent seems to have been suggesting the best alternative options available, don't rely on Virgin offering a refund anytime soon, their current estimate is 100 days from the request!
