I switched an account to HSBC early Feb, I never received my security code letter, despite them assuring me it had been sent out (though refusing to tell me when as that was a 'security breach'). I complained, got £50 for my trouble and closed the account without ever logging into it.1

still waiting for my activation code, gave up trying to chase it, received a statement showing the switch offer had been credited into the account so just applied to switch the account to another bank online, thats one way to sort it out!2

They said it will take 5 - 7 working days. If nothing then, I'll just give them a call.0
