How do you know it was a customer, rather than a friend or relative?

The government haven't barred them from doing so.

The government advice is work from home if you can. Driving instructors cannot. There will be a lack of social distancing but no different to a bin lorry, bus, taxi, police car, delivery lorry etc with more than 1 person in it. Personally I would pause any lessons just to be safe.

I can tell it's very different to the guidelines the police have, there's more single crewing and if double crewed the advice is to keep that crewing for tour of duty. So it could be 4-7 days and not a new person in the car every hour.

There's an instructor near me, one of those one man band types with a limp name plastered on the side of his car that's been working still. I've spotted him out a few times in the area giving lessons.
Last week I pulled up in the street while he was out washing his car and the cheeky fecker asked me why I was out breaking the lockdown!
I replied when he's finished his car, don't forget to clap for me as I'll be seeing him and his customers soon enough.

You were wrong. I appreciate the lockdown may be difficult for you not being able to pick a fight in your regular choice of drinking establishment but don't turn to DA.
