I guess you never tried an internet search? Had you tried it you would have discovered the Barclaycard Rewards card which is a visa credit card.
Why are people so unbelievably toxic on this forum? You do realise there are 100x more civil ways to word and phrase your post??

As for Barclay card. Yes I saw this. But at 0.25% didn't even really consider it a proper rewards card. So I will rephrase.

Is there a visa rewards card other than Barclaycard. Something worthwhile. Something to rival MasterCard offerings or other countries.

Don't worry, I don't understand it either. I'd have thought coming out and asking people who are likely to know is a form of research.

In response to your question, you've pretty much missed the boat with generous Visa rewards cards. With the interchange fee cap set at 0.3% since 2017, it's not easy to find cards that pay much more than that. Many existing cards have either have their rewards rate reduced, subscription fee increased, been closed to new applicants or been withdrawn completely. Visa rewards cards have been in the minority for the last few years at least. Even MBNA which offered a few have switched to Mastercard now.

If you're eligible and spend enough to make it worthwhile then the Capital on Tap cards might be an option - they pay up to 1%. Otherwise the Barclaycard Cashback card is probably your best bet nowadays.

Should also say it's quite unlikely that both Amex and MasterCard will be down at the same time and you could always have a normal bank account with a Visa Card.

    LOL indeed!!

As I said in an earlier post what you consider to be rubbish someone else with think its amazing, just as you think Avios points are amazing penners324 thinks Avios is rubbish, you consider the Barclaycard Rewards card rubbish, others may find it amazing.

Your not going to find a visa credit card in the UK that offers anything like Amex does as it charges merchants a higher merchant fee, which is then used to help subside the cost of there rewards program

Visa and Mastercard are capped at 0.3% Amex charges anything from 1% to 3% depending on the retailer and how much a transaction is.

Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.

So you knew of the Barclaycard, but fail to state that it is "Not a proper rewards card" due to it's low rate.

Please if you re going to ask a question, then at least tell people what you have already done. To save people wasting their own time.

And NO off the top of my head. I do not know of anything better.

Doesn't explain why MasterCard have better offers then visa. They have the same rates?

If the only reason you want a Visa-branded card is to use it "on the off chance something happened to MasterCard and I couldn't use it", does the lack of cashback/reward offers on Visa cards matter?

Even if you found a Visa card offering similar reward levels to your existing Mastercard and American Express cards, you presumably wouldn't use it anywhere near enough to collect enough points to be useful for anything.

Probably unrelated but there are rumours doing the rounds on the 'net that Visa cards are immune from cash advance charges when transacting with certain merchants - but I haven't found any evidence to support this. Quite the contrary.
