Selling during COVID-19 - Impossible or not?

Hi,
I put a house on the market a day or two before Lockdown went into play. With no viewings being able to take place, i can't see how people are still buying but my estate agent keeps telling me it's not selling due to the price not because of the lockdown. No one has been able to view it yet though.
Anyone in the selling game, can you tell me if things are still moving?
Thanks!

I put mine up around middle of Feb, and I was having viewings daily, until they announced the measures and it went dead quiet! Zilch! They rang me saying they are doing virtual tours but I’ve not had any yet. So it’s just a waiting game until people are allowed back out.

It depends on how badly you want to sell.

If you're not desperate than it's obviously lockdown, but if you are, then lower the price and someone (an investor most likely) might snap it up

I think you'd be able to sell if you priced it so low that someone (probably an investor) would consider that it a bargain even sight unseen. That's the feedback I got from the EA when I asked, as I had been hoping to sell a rental flat. In my case I've decided to hold off for now.

Who priced it: you, or the agent, who now says the price is too high?

I sold mine but we had a buyer before lockdown.

The agent priced it and now the agent says it's too high. Yes they said they can sell it asap even in lockdown to an investor if i drop the price.
Not sure if i should remove it from sale now and relist when at least people can do viewings?

Have you taken it off the market for now then?

We didn't get any video footage to do a virtual tour, so that's out the window as well. I am thinking about taking it off the market until at least lockdown is over and people can view again.

It never went on the market. It was due to be listed next week as the tenants have informed me they'll be leaving at the end of their AST in July due to having bought a house, but due to the present circumstances I will try to relet instead.

Take your own footage for the EA to use.
