  • Evening everyone, is anyone else counting the days until payday to make another dent in their targets?! Or is it just me?  :) I should be getting a little bonus this month so it will hopefully clear Debenhams and half of Next. Had that Debenhams account since 2014 and it’s outstayed its welcome. Got to go once and for all. Set myself an outstanding debt milestone target of being in the £20k’s by 1st January 2021. It will be ~£29k mind you but it will be progress. I don’t post much but being part of this group and reading the posts keeps me motivated. Hope everyone is safe and well and looking forward to reading how much more we’ve all paid off!  <3

I am counting down the days until payday and till I go back to work, no idea when that will be. You are all doing so well keeping up payments, I can only pay the min at the moment and it is frustrating me!

  • @Starbrite - I’m sure the day is coming soon when I’m back to minimums. Saving some £’s as WFH, approximately £250 a month at the moment with travelling expenses and then it must be about £80 with not buying rubbish in the day in work. I need to WFH for as long as I possibly can. I’m also able to not add to the debts by using the cards which is helping. Suppose when I do return to work then my aim will be pay minimums, don’t use cards. It’s going to be a hard slog but I feel quite motivated to just get on with it. I hope you get back to work soon and keep chipping away xx

Must be so lovely to have the extra spare money, make the most of it and get those totals down.  Might make you think twice when back at work about buying the 'rubbish' throughout the week etc. I take my own lunch in and have a treat of a brought lunch once a week.

I have received a hardship fund thing on the council tax so in theory I have £31.00 extra a month, but I don't trust them so will pay the normal amount, might get that paid off quicker and at end of the year I can put spare onto the debts.

Hi everyone. Well done on keeping on going  :)
I'm not paid just yet, but I can't wait so have added everything up and done the sums. With this months money, I will be at £1444/£3244.
Now on to focus on the next bit.
    bln x
  • @bln - I’m like you!  :D I have my spreadsheet set up and can spend ages just messing with the figures and know exactly how much I’m aiming to pay off and then calculating how long it will be until I’m debt free. That way, when I do get paid, I just go and pay off what I’ve allocated straight away. Pay day tomorrow. Excited  :D I know I need to get a life. Keep on, keeping on everyone.
