I'm getting 90% to do nothing.

when the current crisis started I hadnt heard of the furlough scheme. then I had a letter from my employer explaining all about it. on top of the 80% my employer is putting in 10% from his own pocket. which is nice for doing nothing.

  • Kind of wish I could be In your situation - sadly, I work for the NHS is we are busier than ever.
Sadly, when this is all over there will a massive bill to be paid for all these 80%s the government is paying and guess who will be paying it back.

Sadly those people who qualified for furlough but were refused or those to fell through the cracks will pay for bailing out even though they were not bailed out themselves.

Furlough predates the current crisis, company have been able to furlough workers for years - the government scheme for paying 80% is new.
