It's not really the financial element I'm worried about, since I'm confident of compensation.
It's more the lockdown part - will we be able to travel the length of the country to get home or do we need to stay in the cabin? Will we be able to get food on the way? Will there be any hotels open to break up the journey?
More to the point, though, do you want to risk you and your family getting the virus?

July isn’t very long away, the virus will still be prevalent everywhere, so if the financial element isn’t what you are worried about, maybe staying at home anyway, regardless of what is ‘allowed’ is something to consider.
The loss of the deposit versus the potential loss of health/life.

A holiday can always be taken next year.

Just another slant for you to ponder on. 🙂

Unless you are in a vulnerable group your chances of dying if you catch the virus are very low & wildly overestimated by the general public. On average your chances of dying of COVID-19 are about the same as your chances dying from any other cause over the next 12 months. For the vast majority of people it’s not an issue on the individual level.

I have booked a holiday to centre parks in July. Paid deposit, and was advised balance due five weeks before travel. Reluctant to pay any more even five weeks out, can I have a refund. What are my rights, contacted centre parks but obviously they are super busy
There’s a message on the website from the CEO of Centre Parcs.

The virus will still be around next year too.....
Cant all hide away forever. We will all get it, one way or another.
So unless someone is highly vulnerable, get out and about......live life. Chances of losing life is slim.....very very slim.
