Nationwide Account Disappeared

This kind of thing is what pushes people to breaking point, I’ve suffered depression for 17 years, I’ve done nothing wrong at all other than transfer £850 into my account, from my account, and I’m honestly at breaking point, I’m a 33 year old man and over the last 3 days I’ve repeatedly just broken down in tears,
It is a frustrating and worrying situation exacerbated by current circumstances - your reaction is perfectly understandable.
Unfortunately, it seems that the unusual credit to the rarely used account has "tripped a wire" - an anti fraud algorithm in Nationwide's system.
You have provided evidence of the source of the money - you may find it will all be sorted out within a few days - see other threads on a similar theme.

It's all very well and good taking that avenue of thought, when you have food in your fridge.....
Do you have a credit card you could use for the time being?

Don't get me wrong, I do understand how aggravating this must all be, but was just observing that it can be easy to get carried away and exaggerate and embellish - it's one thing to vent on here but when dealing with the institution's representatives, it'll just inflame things if you went in all guns blazing with accusations like that. They're not stealing your money, they've put access to it on hold while they investigate, which is the process they're obliged to follow once it has been triggered....newguyuk said:
With the greatest of respect, when they can give me absolutely NO indication of timescales, don't want to see proof, and at this point i have no access to the salary i've worked all month for, i can only assume and envisage that to be the case.eskbanker said:
Frustrating though this undoubtedly is, it is less than theft, unless they intend to permanently deprive you of the money....newguyuk said:The banks are literally a law unto themselves, it’s legalised theft and nothing’s less.
Unless you can tell me something that would suggest otherwise?

If your children are hungry and asking for food, couldn't you use the free overdraft facility on your Lloyds account? Then just pay off the money you've borrowed (interest free) once you get the £850 back?1
