    But what about the value of your vehicle?

    Auxillis, and other credit hire companies, default response is they will commence court proceedings. That doesn't always happen if liability isn't going to settle at a minimum of 50/50.
    they provided me the value of 2xxx. Part of it was paid by a car salvage and the other part I think they wanted to get from the third party

    Next thing is to find a car as you shouldn't really have that credit hire vehicle for much longer now you have the money.
    You need to mitigate (keep to a minimum) your losses, there will be a bit of leeway due to the current climate, but anything over that will be disputed by the otherside as being disproportionate.
    Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
