I took out a Premier Plus cover with Leisure Guard prior to the 13th March 2020 and have had my claim for a refund rejected. Leisure Guard direct your claim to their underwriters who are Allianz Global Assist, who state you are not covered for Covid or FCO instruction not to travel.  Allianz assist underwrite all the policies for Global Rock Insurance Group. I am awaiting a response from Leisure Guard as to the contradiction in information given between themselves and there underwriters.
    Thank you for your note.
Please would you kindly email me your name, policy number and email address with the relevant information and I will address this urgently with Allianz Assistance.
email to send to is info@leisureguardsupport.com
    thank you
To update you I have raised your claim with Allianz Assistance who have reviewed the case again relating to the terms and conditions of cover for Covid 19 and will be in contact with you an update.

I took out premier cover annual multi trip insurance with Leisure guard last June.  I got stranded in fiji (arrived well before any FCO wanrings not to travel) and eventually had to pay for a repatriation flight from fiji to Melbourne then on to Doha, London - overnight in London and then up to Glasgow.  Leisure guard keeps telling me I am not covered for curtailment of my trip.  I cannot get them to understand that my trip was never curtailed.  it was unfortunately extended by just over a month!  I am out of pocket for the new flights and accommodation for over 4 weeks.  They tell me to claim back from Emirates and fiji airways whch I am doing but this does not receompense me for the new tickets I had to buy.  They just say they are "sorry for any inconveneience and will not pay out anything".
Whats the update on this Fijilass?
Welcome to the Leisure Guard  and Catlin is another horse on their merry go round!!
Airlines  normally compensate the required regulation amount 600 Euro max for a delayed flight and chuck in a hotel and food .Others like BA standard approach is to claim it was "Circumstances beyond our Control" to avoid paying this compensation. BA finally coughed up after  a lengthy challenge and failed to show at court indicating they were making erroneous claims so I may have been the only one successful out of the full plane load which raises a big Q. and why they use deceit. The out of pocket expense to get back on track far out way the airline compensation so this is why you take out insurance as you did with the super doper Leisure Guard  package. Leisure Guard should be  fully aware of the maximum airline pay-out would no way compensate your overall loss so it begs the Q why LG  put you on this trail.

Interesting to see how Leisure Guard dealt with your claim  as their track record of dodging out of payment which they did with me using this heads we win tails you loose  cop out to quote.
"The Insurer is entitled to accept or decline risks that are not included within the policy wording."

My advise to you Fijilass is if Leisure Guard try and wriggle out without giving a full valid substantiated reason ion make a small claims Court against Leisure Guard  up the the 10K maximum rather than use the ombudsman
