Same the only thing it's really good for is turning my Aqua Reward into a contacless card that can go on Apple pay.

What is the benefit of using Apple pay? (And sorry if this is off-topic.)
Personally it's a great way to pay as I have multiple cards, there no limit (There may be but i haven’t encountered any) and I don't have to worry about my card details being compromised .

Be aware that Curve have announced - with no notice - that customers will be charged a 1.5% fee if using a underlying credit card for a wide range of transactions.

Yes: that was the point of my post at about #2 on this thread.

They didn't give an appropriate amount of notice but due to the way it has been implemented you cannot be charged the fee by accident.  The transaction will be declined unless you download the latest update and enable a certain function.

If you do not first enable Curve Fronted, when you go to pay your credit card or tax bill with a credit card, the transaction will be blocked, and you’ll be prompted to switch Curve Fronted on in the app. A 1.5% fee will be charged straight to your credit card when you make the payment.
Curve Fronted seems to be an opt-in service for punters who will be charged the 1.5% fee.  No charge for Curve Metal customers

Although I notice from reading the FAQs that, if you get hit for the 1.5% fee, you can go-back-in-time and move the transaction to a debit card and the fee will be removed too.

  • I'll believe that when I see it.

I see no reason to doubt it, when it's written explicitly in their FAQ:
    https://support.imaginecurve.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360003916918-Can-I-Go-Back-in-Time-on-a-payments-with-the-1-5-fee-

Can I 'Go Back in Time' on a payments with the 1.5% fee?

    Yes you can!

If you have initially used a credit card and you’re charged a 1.5% fee, you can have it refunded by using the ‘Go Back in Time’ feature to move the payment to an underlying debit card.
