What's the point of the question?3

15 - Waitressing and doing the dishes on a Sunday think I went from £8 - £12 over time for the day cash in hand - the pub is now an indian restaurant
16 - First job in a longlife dairy factory as Office Junior - salary was £6,200 - the year was 1998 - I was trying to remember the other day what my duties were apart from answering the phone yes, hello! making the tea and coffee, putting stuff on clipboards and writing out the green qc stickers with marker pen! The MD hated people who didn't speak their mind. It's now has houses build on what was the site.
17 - Redundancy
18 - YTS allowed at a district council office in the planning department because I left school thick I qualified to be there, though I loved my supervisor who sat opposite me with big curly hair, a love of marmite sandwiches and just a cheerful chirpy nature, we would often go and look at trees in her old ford sierra - £50.00 a week and some award of bus fare allowed! ((still had to work at the pub of a Sunday))
20 - First proper job after a little trouble getting any other job was as hotel Trainee Receptionist live-in - think I was paid just under £4.00 per hour - this job's theme song was ordinary world by Duran, Duran that a song which used to go London Town no idea who the artist was - I remember it use to keep being played on a loop by reception's big bulky music box! I had a 26 year old female general manager who was cool. The out of date era style motel is still going strong although owned by an a one man and his band these days.

At age 17 I had a paper round and a Saturday job at Poundstretcher for spending money whilst at college taking A levels. After A levels I did an employment training scheme (or whatever they called the scheme after YTS - we got paid more than YTS) for 12 months doing office work. Then I moved to the other end of the country away from the miners strike and recession in the north and had my pick of several jobs in the late 80’s in the South. I am still in the same job now.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗

I started paid work at 12 years old. Living on a farm in the very rural country meant you actually work as soon as you can stand and hold a brush. I did tell a fib regarding my age for the job, I told them I was 14 and no checks done.0

When I were a lad I had to start work afore I were born. Lick the street clean for 25 hours a day and get up afore I went to bed. Times were 'ard then.

Quit school at 16 in the first year of my A'levels to work full time - that was my first job... I've been almost continuously employed since then, apart from a 6 week period at 23 after I left uni.0
