Can I go back to your original first post - what is it you want from this forum - what are you asking us to do?
    In summary, my question is:

Are FO correct in saying that I need to raise a brand new complaint with them because the ombudsman I was originally assigned didn't read the complaint, made up a complaint of their own and then made a decision based on the complaint they created themselves?

Somebody on the last page said that there should be an appeals process, but for some reason FO are not giving me access to it and want me to start the dispute over from the beginning instead.
Have you tried the independent assessor recommended last time on a completely unrelated thread?

As I have no idea which thread you are talking about, perhaps you could provide me with a link?

I can't believe you have spent over 10 years trolling new users (me) on this website!

    OK. I found it. Thanks.

I'm sure you can appreciate that it is difficult managing over 200,000 accounts on this website and setting up almost 8 billion fake lives just to try to trick you that there are more than two people on this planet.

So what was the original complaint about?
If it was about closing a current account and FOS upheld it. Then the bank would also close any other accounts held.

I can't see FOS not reading a complaint. How else could they make a judgement?

But if they say raise a new one, then that is what you need to do. After all they are pretty much the end of the road. Unless you fancy some time in court, which will probably cost far more than £20K

OP to be honest I'm not much help but all I'm going to say is that cheques expire in 6 months, so if the cheque is not cashed in 6 months surely the bank can write you another one? Also cheques can be cancelled.....

I would suggest contacting a finance journalist about this as I see this being a very good story, especially with the bank closing your ISA when the 5 years is about to expire....

I am also assuming from notveryeducated's post in this thread that they experienced an issue similar to mine with NatWest.
I've never experienced anything like this but everything in this thread just screams that the bank involved is NatWest or one of their subsidiaries (RBS, Ulster) due to dodginess and incompetence. Closing someones ISA before the 5 year period so they cannot get interest is just such a NatWest Group thing to do.

A bank stole £20K from me and believe it is now their money. What do you think the complaints system is designed for? Minimum of £100,000?

the case manager completely ignored everything I said and rejected my complaint while pretending my complaint was about how wonderful my bank were.

Pro-tip: If you decide to resubmit your complaint as requested, perhaps you could try to lay off the hyperbole in your correspondence with them.
Also, in addition to notveryeducated's suggestion, perhaps the financial press would be interested in evidence that a published Ombudsman decision was, as you claim, fabricated to fit their decision and did not reflect the complaint you wrote them.

Perhaps you are now known as a serial complainer............. Other people have more serious matters that need addressing as a matter of priority.
