w950 battery exploded when using nokia charger with converter
I bought a converter off ebay which meant that a nokia charger could be used to charge a sony ericsson. Seemed like a good idea at the time as have lots of old nokia chargers sitting around gathering dust.
So plug it all in last night, wake up this morning to find the battery has exploded and the phone horribly bent out of shape. So either had a power surge or nokia chargers won't charge sony ericssons!!
the phone is insured though i cancelled last week, and on the 30 day notice period. before i ring, will this be covered by the insurance. I don't want to say the wrong thing and not get a new one. I don't want to lie and be dishonest either, and make up a story
I'm thinking though the fact that i used a nokia charger may act as a get out clause for them?
Just wondering what to expect when i ring. Next time i won't be so stupid when buying off ebay!

You have probably broke the T&C's of your insurance by using a non SE charger.
Its up to you if you want to tell them, they may ask for the charger and phone to be returned if you claim.
Good luck0 -
