Is it just me or is the site slow and sluggish, for two days it has been taking quite a while and a longer time to open threads and search the forum, all other sites are fine it appears to be just MSE.

The time it takes for the main forum index to open feels like an eternity, staring at that white screen is driving me nuts.
Doesn't matter whether I click the link to the page or go back wards to it, it is always that white screen for 20 seconds.
Clicking other links to pages around the forum were slow enough but seem to be even slower now and again it's the same if not slower clicking the back button.

I got a "checking your browser" page when I came to the forum tonight. (A bit like the old Cloudflare page that sometimes appeared in the old version). No idea if that's relevant to what you're seeing.

There's a thread in MSE Labs about that thing popping up, general opinion is it's to do with if you have the latest version of your browser or maybe it's checking for VPNs (I'm sure I read somewhere MSE would block anyone using a VPN but I could be wrong) https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6133569/browser-check-when-logging-into-forum#latest

As for slow running, if they were doing work on the site it would affect the speed probably, my cure all for slow running is clear your cache.

I have the browser set up to clear the cache when it closes but that makes no difference for this site, still slow as a slow thing.

I just had a server not available thingy so maybe they're working on the site.

Well it is not just me then, that is exactly the same as I am getting since the change to the new forum browsing has never been as fast as the old one but it was usable, now for the last few days it has been painfully slow.
