Three - Gigabit over LTE?

Many newer phones have “Gigabit over LTE”, which is basically multi radio channel data over the 4G network. Speeds up to a theoretical 1GB/s are possible on test networks.

I asked Three via their “chat” if they offered Gigabit over LTE and was told they did, including at my location. However, the 4G network web site mentions only EE and Vodafone as having the higher speed 4G data system. The web site in question didn’t look to be up to date though... I also asked Apple, the person I talked to said Three only had standard speed 4G data, although they didn’t seem sure.

Can anyone “in the know” advise me as to the situation regarding Three? Rootmetrics show speeds on Three up to 70Mb/s in my location, which is typical of ordinary 4G.

I am looking for a new phone and don’t particularly like the current 5G ones and might settle for a higher speed 4G one, rather than wait for more choice of 5G phones.

Thanks
