Car so loud

  • One of the most common causes of a loud vehicle is an exhaust leak. The exhaust system carries very hot hazardous fumes out of the engine, away from the passenger cabin and releases them as less harmful emissions at the rear of the vehicle.

    Just love them.....
  • The problem is probably in the engine, or in the brake, you have checked the brake pads, if it is worn out, you should replace it soon.

That happened to me with an old Mazda! The exhaust was old and rusty and the pipe snapped where it entered the silencer. The only evidence of this happening was that the car suddenly became very loud. You couldn't see anything as it was all tucked away underneath. I had it repaired at the local garage.

Surely the Kwik fit manual would state:

The problem is probably in the engine, or in the brake, you have checked the brake pads, if it is worn out, you should replace it soon. If the brake pads are not worn, you should still tell the customer that they need replacing and say that whilst you were inspecting the brakes, you discovered that the tyres were worn to below the legal limit, one or more of the shock absorbers is leaking and needs to be replaced and there is an oil leak from the engine.
