APH airport parking refunds

Has anyone else tried to have APH offer a voucher in place of a refund? They have offered me a voucher but it also not at the full cost I paid for the hotel.

They seem to be closed so I asked Paypal for a refund ....

    Dear J B

Your case for a payment which you sent to Airport Parking and Hotels Limited will automatically close on 23 April 2020.

The seller has not yet responded, so you should consider escalating this problem to a claim to ensure your case remains eligible for PayPal review.

By escalating to a claim, you would be asking PayPal to review the case and decide the outcome.

We'll automatically close the case unless you log in to the Resolution Centre and escalate it before 23 April 2020. Once a case has been closed, it cannot be reopened or escalated to a PayPal claim.

Same here, paid £116 they offer me a voucher for the value of the package £56 plus 50%, whatever that means, via an unmanned automatic email. I emailed a cancellation Over a month ago which should entitle me to a full refund according to their ts&cs, they were still working at that point, but it never got processed. I’m hoping it will be properly sorted shortly, or I will be giving them a lot of hassle

I had 3 bookings with APH for airport parking and cancelled all 3 well in advance.  All are for less than £100 so how do I get my refund. They don't answer emails.

If you are entitled to a refund, try a Chargeback with your card.

I too have had an email offering a voucher, despite emailing them  to say I wanted a refund not a voucher. I have report this to the Gov.co.uk website for unfair trading during this pandemic.I paid £99.89 on a credit card for parking which APH cancelled however that is 11p less than the £100 Credit card threshold and its not a debit card for a possible chargecard. Guess I am in no-mans land?

Chargeback is for debit & credit cards.

Thank you LGO. I assume I just contact my Credit Card issuer and request a chargeback instead of starting a Section 75 claim?

Yes, just ask for a Chargeback,  the process varies from bank to bank how you can submit it.

  • Hi, we contacted APH Birmingham to ask if we could change our booking Early July as, due to coronavirus, our holiday company have told us we cannot fly on the date. We paid for a non Flexi booking via PayPal. We want to change our booking to August as the holiday company offered us a change of date which suited us and APH say we cannot do any change due to the type of booking we made (non Flexi). Coronavirus is the cause, not any other circumstances. Any thoughts?
  • I had a booking at APH Luton and requested a refund when they sent an email saying that their site was closed and my booking was cancelled.  I then got an email saying that as I paid for a non flexi booking they wouldn't give me a refund even though it was them that cancelled and not me.  I will try to get my money back elsewhere but I think they should refund it, everyone else, hotels, flights etc that I booked have refunded almost immediately with no quibbles.  I will be trying to find a different car park company in future and I suspect a lot of  others will too.
