Government Lack of Support for Disabled People

I have not heard anything about help for disabled people or those on income support or Legacy Benefits so why are Universal Credit claimants getting help and the most viulnerable people in society are left again with no help from government.
Prices in supermarkets and elsewhere are rising steadily and some people are actually profiteering from this crisis.
Myself and my partner are registered disabled and both have multiple long term health conditions and we are currently struggling to pay for essentials like food and cleaning products.
Can anyone enlighten me on this subject please.

The additional money is targeted at those working people who have seen a sudden drop in income which is why it has been targeted at Working tax Credits and Universal Credit. People already claiming UC are benefiting but I think this is an accidental side effect of the government's measures. Disability benefits and legacy benefits have not therefore seen the same increases. You may think this unfair but i think that is the reason behind it.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Most people on legacy benefits have seen no loss as a result of corona.
Those who have lost jobs have obviously lost their income. They also have the unexpected increase in utilities being and many working at home all day when they are usually out all day using nothing.

If and when there is need to provide stimulus to other groups they probably will but do far no need.

Honestly I haven't noticed prices rising that much in the supermarkets - there was a lot made of the 'corner shops' hiking up the price of hand-sanitiser and toilet roll, but I suppose you just have to avoid them - what prices have you seen hiked up in the supermarkets?

I'm claiming legacy benefits and to be honest, i'm saving money because everything is closed. Energy bills are now starting to become cheaper because of the warmer weather. I also haven't noticed any price increases when i've been food shopping, where do you shop?

I initially thought the supermarket prices were increasing then I realised I'm buying far more with having us 5 of home 24/7. Admittedly some of the offers have disappeared that I use to take advantage of. On the other hand no longer buying breakfast or lunch or work makes up the increase at least

I'm having to buy everything at the one supermarket I can walk to or get a delivery from once a week. Offers have virtually disappeared. Cheaper brands are definitely the first to go on popular products.
I can't shop around for the best prices as I used to. I have a little wiggle room in what I eat but not much due to medical conditions.

Definitely saving by not going out.

Using more electricity (even with less lighting) and water being home all the time, plus there is three weeks of heating which came after the big winter bill so that will have to be paid for on the next. Apart from that three weeks it's been on a couple of times but not much at all.

    Swings and roundabouts.
