    No problem. Either one of those accounts from Nationwide are an excellent choice for a everyday bank account.

    If she's anything like my dad, she'll want to be able to go into a branch to pay in / withdraw money so I would look at banks or building societies that have branches near to you.  In our case, that's Nationwide who, as Frankie says, have always been good to deal with and, unlike other banks, haven't closed all of their branches in our town.
