My advice for a good value phone would be to go for the Galaxy S8 (£245) S9 (£349) google Pixel 128GB (£269) Google Pixel 2 (£364) Iphone SE £410) that's my advice for phones around your budgets
  • 48 M pixel camera, 64 gb and can add SD card. Come with a free fitness tracker as well

  • If you are used to Samsung and their user interface, why not go for another of that make?
There could be something suitable and within budget in Amazon's "renewed" range or Amazon Warehouse.
I've purchased their renewed offerings in the past and never been disappointed.
  • The Samsung A5 2017 sounds like a similar but better option to the phone you currently have, camera quality is actually quite good too.

I've got an Honor Play, it's been out quite a while now but I read it's still regarded as a best buy by some gadget mag or other. It was £240 when I got it so probably not as much now. The Huawei problem doesn't affect is as it pre-dates that issue.
