Hermes parcel stuck on parcel expected

So I ordered an item off studio, received an email on the 15th stating they had been dispatched, I've been checking every day and still says parcel is expected. Is there known problem with Hermes as the moment? As I've never had a problem with studio or hermes with parcels before. Studio says it's going to be delivered by 20th but am not expecting it by then. I've never had a parcel be stuck on, expecting parcel from sender before. So could it just be a glitch and it will just turn up?

Sounds like they simply haven't sent it. It's unlikely to turn up without ever being scanned but it does sometimes happen.

I've had a couple of things 'stuck' at the Hermes sorting hub.  In each case the sender just re-issued the order.

Similar issue, I think lots of delays dispatching and also delivery companies are beyond full capacity

Yes I've had a Hermes parcel doing a scenic tour of northern England for the past three weeks.  They just dont seem able to get a grip on things at present.

Thank you for the replies, think I will have to cut my losses on this one. Still says expecting parcel on tracking, checked their website and the item is out of stock so not expecting to be sent another one. With the customer service not at full capacity and phone lines closed, haven't been able to get hold of anyone. Will leave ordering for awhile...

I too have 3 items, from 3 different Ebay sellers, all sent via Hermes and no sign of any of them !

I'm guessing Hermes is very busy, it could be they just haven't gotten to scanning your parcel in yet.

In normal times I've definitely had something sent from a business via Hermes, and it's been several days before the tracking started.

It's been six days since its been dispatched, its only shown parcel to be expected. I've had other parcel delivered while we have been in lock down and they have all been on time in our area, am not really sure how long it would be like this for, as its already been 6 days since its been dispatched..

This morning I've received an update from Hermes telling me they 'Have Your Parcel'   
This is one of the items i spoke of, here, yesterday so it appears that the backlogs are moving now.....

Looks like many others are having the same problem, as there countless people comenting on their Facebook page about deliveries. Looks like it's hit them hard and now struggling to cope with the demand...
