B&Q Delivery

Hi I would like any advice on the lateness of my B&Q order please. I placed a £220 order on 26th March 2020, B&Q emailed confirmation of a 31st March order, which was fine, stating the driver would call or email with an update. Well it's now 19th Aprirl, no delivery, no email and no calls. No communication what so ever. I have tried to get through to them, but no joy. I understand deliveries will be affected in these crazy times, but if i cannot get this order, i could buy elsewhere! I have been reading up and can cancel the order after 30 days and get a refund, and or claim section 75 for a refund from the credit card it was bought on, but does anyone have the same problem or any hints or tips, thank you for reading :-)

Why would you want to cancel?
Is it cheaper to buy it elsewhere or do you need it urgently?
If you need it urgently, what makes you think the other retailer can deliver it sooner?

The  company concerned have had to furlough fully 55% of their staff and their "one hour" Click and Collect service now takes around four days!

In the current  national emergency, is your order so important that you cannot wait?

Who exactly do you expect to fulfil your order less tardily elsewhere?
  • I'm in the same boat, kitchen ordered and paid for 6 weeks ago delivery date 18th April, no email,no text,no phone call and no kitchen,I know these are difficult times but there a hundreds of people who have had non existent customer service from B&Q who are still taking money and not delivering, there is no answer from emails, messenger messages or phone calls, thankfully we paid on a credit card so money is safe but B&Q need to get some of their staff back to answer customers concerns.
  • A friend told me there is a section on this site where one can name a company where their online enquiry form is frozen. They are answering phones and on Facebook messenger. This isn’t good enough. I’m paying for it on Finance.
My kitchen delivery date was moved from 13 April to 2 July. On 1 July someone phoned up to say an item was out of stock and we also discussed the details of the main delivery. I told them I had a fitter ready and had booked time off work. When the items did not arrive, the csc person advised it hadn’t gone out because there was no purchase order number on the order!  I raised a formal complaint. There was no acknowledgement email or reference so I had to get this via DM on Facebook. It’s all pretty stressful.
