Problem activating Smarty SIM

Hi folks,
Need some advice please.
I thought the unlimited mobile data at £20 per month looked OK so on today’s shopping trip I picked up a £1 SIM and tried activating it tonight.
Filled in the digits of the SIM serial number it asked for, registered my details, and paid my money, £20.
it said on the screen that the SIM should be activated within half an hour, fair enough.
Anyway, almost immediately I received an email saying that I had to a wait for a SIM to be sent out and it would be sent out in two working days so as tomorrow’s Saturday it will be Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest before it’s dispatched so a good week before I receive it.
I have contacted them to see what they say but if they insist I need a new SIM where do I stand with cancelling and getting a refund as that wasn’t the deal.
Can’t find anything in the T&C’s.
thanks

I don't know the answer but is the £1 SIM "on today’s shopping trip I picked up a £1 SIM" a PAYG?I would expect the £20/month package can only be purchased online through their website. Then wait for the SIM to be delivered and activate it.0
