Kid has shares CTF can she just open a cash JISA ?

Hi,
with JISAs you can have both, cash and shares JISAs. Do I have to transfer her shares CTF to a shares JISA before I can open a cash JISA for her?
The CTF is doing fine. I could do without the hassle of transferring it.

So if you want to keep the CTF money invested you would need to transfer it to a S&S JISA (probably with a bit of time uninvested) where it would count as a previous tax year contribution before opening the Cash JISA.0
