And just what do you think the "OPERATOR" is going to do with this data?
Remember our usage is tracked, so going into a customer account has to be needed. Access a customer details that are not needed can see you sacked (seen someone hauled off and taken out of the building for doing just that)
So even if you did, the gain (if any) would be so short lived that the risk is not worth the return. Unless you like a 24/7 hotel stay. Just avoid the showers
At least bank staff are background checked, So no convictions (at all) have to have no financial problems.
Unlike pretty much any other business that deals with customer data.
Take you average shop staff that have access to a till roll. Enough data on one of them for card fraud. Are they checked? Answer is a 2 letter word....
Sorry, but as a member of bank staff I find your thoughts on the honesty of bank staff offensive and uncalled for.Life in the slow lane0 -

Sorry, but as a member of bank staff I find your thoughts on the honesty of bank staff offensive and uncalled for.The OPERATOR could use it over time for fraud or a simpler an quick way to make money is to sell it on. The data would raise a fortune on the dark webSo every time you go into a customers account as part of your job you record it. simple and no one would know because you are in their account at their request and there is your opportunity. Chances are every day and incoming call you speak to a different customer. What would you describe as a financial problem please ?Re background checks does your bank do a credit check on potential employees ? do they look for your facebook instagram and twitter pages ?
Would your bank ask a potential employee do you contribute to internet forums like the MSE forums and what is your user name ? would you,if asked, that pass on your MSE user details ? My apologies if you consider my text are that the honesty of bank staff were offensive are uncalled for and thank you for confirming to me that you have knowledge of the honesty of your colleagues "(seen someone hauled off and taken out of the building for doing just that) ".LOLOL what bank do you work for please ?

As someone who worked in financial services for a long time and who now works for a government department I would say you really have no idea.
If someone wanted to commit fraud enough even in a secure environment, they would! I used to work for Capital One myself and there were people fired from there for fraud!! While they were in the building!Yes, there are credit checks. In my last job in insurance I had to provide my medical records to explain why my credit history is so bad (debts written off when I got cancer and could not work as I was unwell for a long time and have been left with several permanent disabilities) I also had to provide copies of the correspondence from the companies who wrote my debts off (good job I kept them) Banks and financial services don’t just employ anyone!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -

Its the BANK that logs what we do.... You know keystrokes & other data checking.
That is one person over a hell of a lot of years. Can you say you have never seen anyone sacked or arrested?
Financial problem, is what the debt board is for... In fact there is a tread in the last few days about someone wanting to work in banking but being turned down as they have defaults.
As to background checks. Yes they will look at any social media etc.
As to who I work for. That is against social media guidelines.Life in the slow lane1 -

Well it will be interesting to see the reply from my complaints.
I'm sorry about to hear about all your health and credit problems and hope you are better and more solvent. If I had your luck I would avoid buying lottery tickets. Did You have mortgage insurance and did it pay of your mortgage when you got cancer ?

Imagine you are your home and take my call and you log on to my account and take me through security. Your company is logging all your activity . Your employers? will they be able to somehow record and monitor, you taking your mobile phone camera or a digital camera and taking pictures and or videos of the data on the screen please ? How would a bank monitor this please ? If they are unable to monitor an employee at home recording data with a camera then an employee would have an easier opportunity to capture your data for fraud than they would at the Banks Offices.
Another ex bank worker has posted fraud does happen by bank staff as well.
Do Banks provide the home working staff with a computer or do the staff log in using their own equipment please ?

A banks work methodology is probably commercially sensitive, though i’m sure you can (and probably will) put in a freedom of information request to each financial
institution to ask how they work under such matters.
Though I wouldn’t expect response.0 -
I wonder if the OP managed to get through to Capital One,1

Though I wouldn’t expect response.Tripe and Tin-foil Claptrap alert ,,can I make an FOI to a bank ?"Under the Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations you have a right to request any recorded information held by a public authority, such as a government department, local council or state school. "If their resolution is no good ill be off to the FO with a link to the SAR phone calls, so the FO (whoo will be busy) will have nowt to do except read listen and adjudicate.
