Really good to see inspiration passed between generations that are over 9 decades apart. Young kids could do with more such role models.Murphybear said:From the local news in Bristol“A six-year-old boy with spina bifida has raised more than £35,000 for the NHS by walking 10m a day with his frame.Frank Mills, from Bristol, only started walking 18 months ago and struggles to complete even short distances. He was inspired to raise money after seeing Capt Tom Moore walk 100 laps of his home in Bedfordshire. The money will go to NHS Charities Together - an umbrella organisation that supports health service “2 -
Watching this little boy struggling to walk but determined not to give up was bittersweet.Thrugelmir said:

I forgot to add that he initially wanted to raise £99, the same amount as Toms age. Here’s what his mother said
“We grabbed hold of that magic moment of motivation and we took his walker outside for him and chalked out ten metres on the pavement with a start and finish line and two metre ‘you can do it!’ markers.Frank’s enthusiasm was not just surprising but invigorating and as he shouted at one of our neighbours to sponsor him, we thought why not? Maybe we could get some friends and family to support Frank.
We quickly put something up on JustGiving and shared the link on Facebook, and from that moment it took off! We cannot believe how people are responding.
– FRANK'S MUM JANET MILLS”
the amount is now £58,000

This is amazing and makes me want to cry...that lovely little boy and his family taking their inspiration and turning it into something truly heart-warming. Tbh though whenever I think about Captain Tom I want to cry as well. Just shows what determination can do.Murphybear said:
