Royal Mail - Parcel Force - Loss Parcel

Well first of all. Speak to Parcelforce direct. Not RoyalMail.
You are just adding layers. There are and will be massive delays with international items and scanning will fall foul of that too (probably 50% of my packages delivered to me recently havent properly tracked across various carriers)
There is potential that the Parcelforce item has accidentally been put into RMs system (they are separate) and given the current situation it could be delayed somewhere and nobody can give you the answer until someone scans it.
The lack of insurance is down to you Im afraid.1 -
I do spoke with them. They wanted the sender to make the claim application and post it to them, so he did it yesterday. Im afraid I just have to wait now. The reason I involved Royal Mail is just in case they made the mistake and they still have it somehow. I dont know.custardy said:Well first of all. Speak to Parcelforce direct. Not RoyalMail.

Even the normal post is far slower than usual. The parcel may still be awaiting processing. There'll be limited flights to send parcels on as well.2

Yes I know but I was expecting better service with ParcelForce. They double the prices because of the limited flights.Thrugelmir said:Even the normal post is far slower than usual. The parcel may still be awaiting processing. There'll be limited flights to send parcels on as well.0 -
I have asked ParcelForce about that and their answer was....No that is not the case, parcels are scanned automatically as the sorting process is fully automatized....dunstonh said:It should also be noted that Parcelforce tracking is notoriously off. Even when items are collected and in transit, they often sit there on "advised" well into the process.0 -
Some UK mail is taking nearly 2 weeks at the moment, there is a world wide pandemic and staff shortages. Its probably on route to you somewhere, I think you are shouting before you are hurt.2
-
Of course they say that. I have a parcelforce tracker still saying "Advised" that was delivered 2 weeks ago (just checked it again). I had another delivered earlier today and the tracker hasn't updated. We get a lot of deliveries (now and during normal times) and Parcelforce is the most unreliable in pretty much all areas.CostasCyprus said:

The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.2 -
Yeah you might be right but when you have 15 days limit to claim something and you already at day 11 isn't so bad time to shout. Especially when you asking them and they have no idea. Thank youswingaloo said:Some UK mail is taking nearly 2 weeks at the moment, there is a world wide pandemic and staff shortages. I hope it's that the case 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼0 -
Their last answer is that one...As advised previously, everything here indicates the Post Office handed the item to Royal Mail and not us, Parcelforce by mistake. We are a different company to Royal Mail. As such, we cannot track the item currently. Royal Mail will not be able to track the item either as it has a Parcelforce label. In these circumstances its best the sender submits a claim. As you are indicating the sender has already done this by post then the sender needs to correspond with our claims team who will help them on this matter.
