Supply teacher. Can I be furloughed as I don’t get paid for holidays?

Hi
I am a supply teacher. I was furloughed two weeks prior to the beginning of the Easter holiday. I don’t get any wages during the two week Easter break ( although I do get a small amount of holiday pay which I accumulate when I work).
The way I understand it is that to be accepted for furlough I should have had no work for three consecutive weeks but what about the Easter holidays? The three week rule has been interrupted hasn’t it?
Anybody got any ideas please?
Many thanks

Goooooooood question.
Common sense says to me that as long as you are officially "furloughed" for a minimum period then it does not matter if that period of time covered regular time off, or even holidays.
How your pay gets calculated will be the next interesting point. It's possible you'll get paid as per your typical average monthly pay averaged over the last 12 months - if your pay normally varies a bit.
This leads me to think you will benefit from the timing of this scheme and you will be paid for the Easter break even though you would normally not have been.
However, I must stress that I am an amateur poster and this advice I am giving you is just my interpretation and opinion.
It might take a little time for your employer to get answers about this too, so sit tight until the portal opens up in ~1 week time.
Bottom line, I don't think you will fall foul of the minimum furlough period.0 -
This situation is still not clear. As it currently stands, Furlough Leave is not interrupted by Normal Holiday and so yes you could be furloughed for the full duration as long as you are not doing any work for your employer. The new guidance (version 4) was issued today along with a direction document from Her Majesty's Treasury but they do not mention holiday apart from saying it must be paid at 100% as confirmed by ACAS.I used to be known as ableandy but can't get into my old account anymore0
