Having said that, even if they do try to take it and it fails, you have made the minimum payment, so it won't reflect on your credit report.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

Thanks Shakin_Steve, I finally managed to get through to Barclaycard today. They have advised because I made the payment last night it is fine, and I can just set the DD back up in a couple of days. Thanks everyone for your help!0

You may still find that a DD of £8k is applied for at your bank - have you cancelled it with them too?0
