Sky are not answering calls

Options
Sky put my subscription up by £2 and I tried ringing but its a recorded message saying were not answering calls.
How can I get hold of them to contest what they have done?

Even if  you are classed as "vulnerable" what's left of their call centre is difficult to contact.
Why don't you wait until everything returns to normal? It's an extra £2 so I'm certain you can afford the extra outlay for a month or two...

Yeah I know, that wasent my point. I can wait but I didnt want to be tied into something for another term or whatever against my will.

I would advise not calling callcentres for anything other than important issues such as extended loss of service. They will be suffering from a very much reduced workforce.

I understand that, but it didnt prevent them putting up my subscription. Surely freeze everything until customers can contest it?

The £2 increase is presumably the increase for basic Sky "Entertainment" package which applies wef first bill after April.
If so, then you can't contest it as such as its allowed for in the ts and cs as an annual increase.

Its ironic really because only days before they increased it albeit its only £2 we were talking about where can we cut back on bills and stuff,  and here comes Sky with an increase.
I just recently had a moderate pay rise, I say moderate becsuse its not what everyone felt we should get, our company still had record profits at the time of the pay nogotiations,  so majority of employees were not happy, but its easy to see why, because it seems everytime we get a payrise other bills go up like Council tax, now Sky etc,  so we are never feeling the benefits of a payrise. Personally I would cancel Sky alltogether but my partner didnt want me too. She said Sky provide a lot of channels that she likes.
But at the end of the day somethings going to have to go to make ends meet.
  • I want to cancel my sky subscription all together. I cant get through to anyone and they are not answering their online message system. Writing to them with my 30 day notice doesn't appear to be an option either. Can you help as I don't want to be paying this service any longer than I have too.

I'm in a similar position.  When I moved house last March I had called Sky to cancel as my bill was for the most basic Entertainment TV package, calls and 38Mb Fibre broadband  -all of that was coming in at £63.00 a month.  They offered me a deal for the same package but at £38.00 which I accepted.  I was advised by them to call again in a year once the 12 month deal expired as I'd be offered a new deal at a similar price.

In mid-march I noticed my bill had jumped back up to £58.  They had increased my broadband speed since then to 70Mbps but I believe this was only due to the fact that they had restructered their packages and the one I was on previously had ceased to exist.   Even so,  it's a lot of money especially considering I have their most basic TV package (No HD except for the terrestrial FTA ones).   Shortly after,  I then received an email to say that my TV & Broadband packages were both increasing by £2.00 a month.   My bill for this month is therefore totalling £62.00 and besides watching it be taken out of my account each month,  I have no way of getting in touch with them.
