Hi all, i have been self employed for 5 years apart from on the 07/01/19 i went on the books for a company until 23/05/19 then i went self employed again. I have filed a tax return for 2019, my question is will i be eligible for the 80% wages help or because of my break will i get nothing, I don’t want to wait for them to get in touch with me if its not going to happen, using the GOV website has proved very hared work as it goes around in circles and doesn’t give a contact number. Thanks. Stay safe.

There are examples in the guidance that should answer your question. See

If your income is low look at Universal Credit. Information here https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/universal-credit/.
Claim online https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit/how-to-claimThere are online calculators to help you assess entitlement https://www.gov.uk/benefits-calculators
You will be excluded from claiming UC if you have capital/savings over £16,000.
Be aware that claiming UC will end any Tax Credits, Housing Benefit or other means tested benefits you currently get.
You may also be able to claim Council Tax Reduction from your local council.
When the SEISS is received it will be taken into account as earnings when working out UC entitlement.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
