British Gas X - is it genuine - is it actually British Gas?

I recently switched energy through the MSE switching page to what I thought was British Gas, I received my welcome email yesterday that has a British Gas logo on it, but says "Thank you for choosing British Gas X to supply your home. We're starting on your switch" and links to a britishgasx.co.uk webpage - when I enter my details to log into my account it says "Error loading account data. Please try again later" - still doing that today. I checked the britishgasx domain and this was only registered in Nov 2019 and I can't find anything to say that this is actually british gas - does anyone know anything about this?

It is a subsidiary company of British Gas Trading Ltd however, so arguably yes it is really British Gas.
