  • You sound really focused and motivated, well done on finding bits to sell I found 3 items today just need to get my backside into gear and get them listed.
I find that finding them is the easy part and seeming them is such a pain!!  Especially when they just sit around the house looking miserable!

  • I need a bit of what you're on today! I have felt a bit miserable for no particular reason - maybe just tired after last night. But tomorrow is a new day so I'm going to take inspiration from your post and enjoy tomorrow!

    Congratulations on the milestones

  • Morning all!

It feels very real today. New Year’s Day is been and gone and we are back to reality.

Just been reading money mum official article and started following her instagram. Such inspiration but a lot of the tips I already know about from reading on here - just got to implement them.

Todays plan is to workout in a minute, then take son to rugby training, not buy a coffee or hot chocolate for daughter. And then not spend any money for the rest of the day but gently sort out house and get ready for the week ahead. I have lists and plans everywhere and I need to get it all in one place.

I have to work on Tuesday but my own children are back at school on Wednesday. We have had a lovely Christmas and I am excited to get back to a routine with this new saving mindset that seems to be easy now the hangover of 2018 is behind us.

  • Morning morning all!

Back to work today. Have just checked bank accounts and direct debits have gone out from the 1st!

I rounded my loan down to the nearest 0 so shaved £3 off. I like doing this so I am going to keep it up. I have also rounded all the accounts and collected £5 so far in a separate account.

Today I will need to get a car wash for husband on my way home from work but very needed as his car is filthy. Hoping for a low key non spending rest of the week though with no emotional eating or drinking.

    Happy January everyone!

  • Hi everyone!

Gosh I’m so tired after two days back at school. Had a great Christmas and break from work but now I feel like I need to recover from my Christmas break!

Nothing much to report other than I feel overwhelmed already by my 2022 to do list and have also just had a hefty car service for the bigger car of nearly £600 so the emergency fund/car service fund is going to be diminished slightly very soon!

In an effort to save time at weekends I’m planning to try online food shopping again so just done an order for around £100 which is much under the weekly budget with lots of food still in cupboards and no doubt I have forgotten something too!

  • Just noticed for some reason my signature has reverted back to an old one ! I thought I’d saved it! Annoying! Shall have to adjust later.

Survived our first week back! Food shopping arrived last night and it feels good knowing that I won’t have to pop out this weekend to do it and then put it all away.

We are planning a quiet weekend sorting out some jobs that need doing around the house. The kids have got clubs this morning and tomorrow morning and we shall prob take dog for a good walk tomorrow afternoon.

    Happy weekend everyone xx
