Can the pergola fit on the 0% card?
Holiday sounds nice, I would love to book something but I think we'll wait until last minute. After what happened last July and Aug when the rules kept changing I don't think I can take the anxiety.
No the pergola can't go on the card as we have to do a bank transfer for the carpenter and the 0% is only for 9 months and we probably realistically wouldn't be able to pay that amount off in that time.
Holiday sounds lovely doesn't it but with every day forward it looks increasingly unlikely that we will be able to go. I am being realistic. Husband just got paid so we now have over £5k in the holiday savings account for a holiday that might not happen.

Evening all
Husband got paid today so jus spent some time shifting money around. There was £22 left in his and joint account together so chucked that at his loan.
For those of you that think the pergola is an unnecessary expense you will like this. The carpenter told us that the price of timber is rising so we would have to but it now to secure the quoted cost. we said yes ok and then he came back saying in two days it had risen by £600. So the quote is now an extra £600 which we have been good and said we can't afford. We will have to wait until prices come down. I must say that I have always thought the privacy issues can be sorted with bamboo so this is my chance to prove that theory right. But I like the idea of a pergola as well.
I shall keep you posted, of course.
Tomorrow we shall be going to garden centre to look at appropriate hedging plants to avoid spending money on a fence.

Morning all!
Currently sitting outside in the patio enjoying the sunshine!
So far we have spent nearly £2k on hedging shrubs, bamboo and pots for our screening/privacy project. The plants arrive next week ready to put in. This is significantly better than the £4K pergola and £2k fence we initially costed up.The card has arrived ready to transfer over. It’s actually 25 months the deal is for - 0% with a 1% fee meaning we could roughly set the monthly repayment to £150 per month and pay it off within the time period if we spend £3k.
Husband is also planning to refinance his loan at the end of the summer to a cheaper one. Meanwhile - any extra money here and there will be chucked at the loan. Husbands one first as it is the most expensive.
Right, must stop daydreaming and get in with some spring cleaning.

Morning all!I gathered up some books yesterday for music magpie - £8 - so going to drop them off at the parcel place today. I also looked at what we could get for our Apple TV -£40 - so long as we find the remote! Both of us have seen it around somewhere so going to spend some time having a really good look in some hot spot places today.
I ordered the children some sandals which arrived yesterday. And also daughter some new school shoes as she only has boots. They will need some more uniform bits at some point.
Ive adjusted my signature for my £200 loan payment to come out tomorrow. We are nearly at £5000 now! Husbands loan come out tomorrow but I have decided this payment will go in the car as I am enjoying slushing the £5000 debt away with extra bits of money I find here and there!
