Thank you Club Praia oura Portugal

I believe Club Praia Oura Portugal is owned by MGM Muthu following their acquisition some 5 (?) years ago from Petchey Leisure. They also own the adjacent Oura View Beach Club and a number of other timeshare establishments in that part of the Algarve following strategic expansion.
Personally I would not trust resale companies generally and I would in the first instance approach MGM to see if you can negotiate an acceptable exit.
I don't believe your weeks will have any value at all, even if they are "red" weeks judging by the available weeks selling for negligible amounts on ebay
Don't quote me on this because this is second hand information, but I believe one option which friends informed me about (they owned at Oura View) was that they agreed to pay x number of years maintenance fees in advance during which time they could use their weeks, and then walk away at the end of the period.
The solution will also to some extent depend on whether you are a fixed week owner or floating weeks or "Infiniti".
There is quite a useful thread on Tripadvisor entitled "Getting Out of Petchey Leisure" which makes interesting reading and might provide some relevant information https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g1-i10700-k7851798-Getting_out_of_Petchey_Leisure_Leisure_Dimensions_Infinity-Timeshares_Vacation_Rentals.html
    Hope this helps

We sold ours in the USA back to the resort, it cost about the same as a years maintinance so we were happy with that, have you asked if they would do that (remind them they can resell it lol)

ecc-uk: Please avoid like the plague, it is run by Andrew Charles Cooper who has a been a director of numerous other businesses, all of which have failed, and one, Club Class Concierge was closed down by order of a court in the public interest. I think that should be enough to run to the hills and keep your money in your pocket!

Anyone know anything about ecc-eu? Want upfront fee for claim against bankrupt Silverpoint
If a company is bankrupt what are you going to be able to claim in any case?  It looks like a situation where the only people likely to get any money are dodgy intermediaries offering their services for an up-front fee.

Do not pay up front fees.  Suggest that they just teke their fee from the money they recover.  I doubt you will hear any more from them.  I'd also be interested to know how they plan to get money from a bankrupt company.

Not recent, but I did speak to Aberfoyle Holidays some years ago and they were very honest about potential resale value, or lack thereof.  Their charges used to be very low so it can do no harm to ask them.  As a matter of interest where do you own?  Just country if you don't wish to give more detail than that.
