We are in strange I times a grant you that who knows what will happen. I know they have all the info I have to give them. I'wilk hear when the postman brings one of those light brown envelopes with dwp stamped on the back. I'm just hoping to get through the next few months without having to be admitted to hospital I'm sort of scared it's not the great to be right now.

I had two strokes close together when I was 37/38 the second left me with epilepsy, also had a cyst on my brain which was removed hoping that would help, it didn't. The worst thing of all is needing to be supervised all day every day, Ive had a bad week this week, but you almost get used to it.0

Oh I'm sorry . You should be getting every part of help that the government can give you.The system doesn't work I'm afraid when I was in hospital their was a middle aged man with a drug addiction opposite me in a bed who was getting paid pip for anxietty. But he thought it was funny that he was getting jsa and this further payment . People like him ruin the system for others0

My daughter claims Enhanced PIP for both parts but to look at her you'd think nothing was wrong. Spend a few hours with her and you'll soon realise that all may not be as it first seemed.Moral of the story is "don't judge a book by it's cover" very few people claim benefits fraudulently.3

I agree with that comment totally but he was just a total junkie and I'm afraid, they have needs like us and need help but to take the Mickey like he did out if the system and to basically say that the extra money he got was for more drugs just got my back uo.
Apparently he was a regular in the hospital too but I guess everyone needs to be treated to be the same. Be glad when this bloody virus buggers off0 -
I had POA for an elderly couple who received over £400 a month in disability benefits. Their spending on disability £0. I went through all their bank statements. Not a penny. I have pointed this out on many occassions. So then I am told it is just a reward for being disabled. Just spend it on what you want. There have been threads on this forum "what do you spend your benefits on?" Amazing answers. Out of interest what are the extra costs of being epileptic? Couldn't you get receipts for those?0

What people spend their benefits on is their business and only theirs, there are very few people in the UK who don't receive a benefit be it SRP or child benefit to name just two, and as I said getting receipts would be a beuauratic nightmare, do you advocate a system of food vouchers like the USA? i bet you do.
And finally i am not an epileptic I am a person with epilepsy !5 -
Right Fred your lucky I called you that and not something much stronger. I worked for over 20 years driving a company car earning 40k a year. Before losing my licence to this horrible disease that preys on anyone it fancies. I get 400 a month and you ask for people with disabilities to produce receipts.. Could you live on that paying gas water electricity etc. People with disabilities do not just jump on the government cash wagon to receive cash handoouts.
You talk it being a perk to be able to get cash if your disabled if your epileptic.
I have been in hospital for roughly three months out of the last nine. I hav e seen people die in my ward . I have seen people with disabilities wher they can't walk or talk move or do anything for themselves would you want receipts from them too.
Young people have psychological problems too I have a niece who took an overdose I guess you would suggest when she was sixteen under your scheme she would get nothing and she would be a drain on the economy.
I don't get Angy easily but you are living in a completely different world to most people . I suggest the research you have done you tear up wait till bonfire night and use it start your fire with.

You clearly don't have a disability and you clearly have no idea what it is like to live each day with one either. Spend a few hours with someone's disability and i bet you'll never judge disabled people again.

Agreed poppy he just seems to have a bee in his bonnet about disabled people. I wonder if he thinks all people on benefits should produce receipts imagine the size of the pile it would be half way to the moon.3
