Anyone got the basis of a successful POPLA appeal that won at POPLA stage?
There are several thousand at the top of the index page. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
Or search for this car park, as told.2

I mean for this car park - I am told that it is unheard of for this car park for a Popla appeal to lose - so I would like to see what a successful appeal looks like

Yes. Have you looked for one for this car park?
its a forum
it has search tools
use them first. It's your case, not ours, and your own knowledge is helped by doing your own research3 -
I take it you are familiar with google? Have you searched local newspapers? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

This takes you to a successful POPLA appeal about Abersoch golf club.

You might have to do a bit of searching the forum for others but it is a start.4 -
Search the POPLA Decisions thread for the word Abersoch. If the terrible 'new' forum search actually works.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi - so a quick update. I responded to the LBC on the 20th April, wording as above and stated that I was seeking debt advice. I also asked for a SAR which I received back.nosferatu1001 said:Unkomass - the op says they have a lbccc. First post.A sar doesn't hold the. Off of course. Stating you are seeking debt advice does.
I received a letter on the 6th may, dated the 4th of May. The letter states the "Parking charge remains due.....we confirm £100 remains due and full payment required in 14 days etc etc". It states they are "prepared to take legal action if required...."
My question at this stage is that I thought stating in my response that I was seeking debt advice should mean they suspended processing for 30 days? I think they responded in under 14 days
Meanwhile I'll prepare my defence to the court action

14 days is a letter from the debt collection department , not litigation
Litigation would give 30 days , plus they may refuse to place the matter on hold , you do not know the decision until after the 30 days , so a few weeks to go before you actually know , or it could be even longer , because the 30 days is not a deadline , it's a minimum
This is all a prelim to the main event , do not get sidetracked by the sideshows , a boxing match is never decided when they appear before the press , swear at each other , butt heads and snarl and trade words like name calling and how they will make mincemeat of each other , it's a sideshow
It will be over when one of 3 things happens
1) you pay the amount asked for , in full
Or
2) 6 years has elapsed
Or
3) it is settled by a court case , or in the process of one5 -
Ok thanks - I assumed that they wouldn't contact me for 30 days but it means they won't take any further action until 30 days.Redx said:14 days is a letter from the debt collection department , not litigation

Actually it's a farce - one of their photos shows me leaving the car park in the dark in winter, and the signs are camouflaged and not illuminated as stipulated in the contract and illumination guidance of the BPA code of conduct.
