Yes but number not being recognised doesnt mean its not correct.
Same for having the tracking number in advance. This is not unusual.

Chinese seller using a fulfilment house in the UK, I'd bet the stock is short and they are giving tracking numbers to try and hold off on buyers complaining. 

Judging by the feedback (20% of it being negative in the last 30 days) and iffy tracking I would have opened a case a well.

Appreciate things aren't necessarily great with the post at the moment but the seller is the problem here.
