Just eat won't give refunds

People just like the convenience of using their website. I agree it simply adds an additional cost either absorbed by the retailer or charged to the customer...

One word - ease. 
Much easier to click a few buttons to order - but I agree, I'd rather deal direct.

I  suspect also that some (perhaps many)   users of  the "Just Eat"  site think they are afforded some extra consumer protection.

 Since the site is simply  an online  portal more akin to Amazon Marketplace, these customers are  in reality solely  dealing with the specific Takeaway in any case. 

This  thread which originally asserted that "Just Eat" had been reported to Trading Standards for a tardy delivery "offence", is a good example of how use of the site can be and is misinterpreted.
