EE/Orange ongoing dispute
I have an ongoing dispute with Orange /EE regarding a mobile contract that I was told was an upgrade and in fact they sold me another contract, stupidly I didn't realise this until the phone was lost and I couldn't claim on the insurance as the sales assistant never added it as I had requested.EE are now saying I have to pay for the rest of the contract even though I was misled into buying this new contract and if I had known it was a new contract I obviously would not of agreed to it. I went to the ombudsman but they agreed with EE that I should pay the money. Anyway it is now in default with Experian for 6 years on my credit rating. looking through this when I got to the linked addresses there was a name the same as mine but the address was somewhere I have never lived EE say i added it to the contract which is a lie as I dont know the place at all.
I was hoping this was a GDPR issue as this persons information is on my records EE have already been fined £100,000 for breaking GDPR guidlines do you think it is worth pursuing this to get my self removed from Expedia credit checks

If it was a new contract, then presumably you got a new phone and a new number - wasn't that a bit of clue?
If you have an issue with the name / address data then take it up with the EE DPO first and see what they say, if unhappy then approach the ICO0 -

With regard to Experian, nothing there will impact on your debt owed to EE for the contract.====0 -
It was after Orange had merged with EE or before I would say 2014 as it is kept on your credit file for 6 years then it goes into default for another 6 years so they tell me0

Why did you not buy a phone so it would keep you going until end of the contract. Yes hindsight is a wonderful thing.0

Why should I have to pay back for phone that i was misled into believing it was an upgrade and not new contract
I have a new phone which i bought out right so when my contract ended i cancelled my account with Vodafone asked for the Code ton unlock the phone so that it was contract free nd I could keep the number for my new phone they said I had to waiti until the day after the contract had ended so when i rang back they said I couldnt have the code until I paid the final bill Which I did and they gave me code . Me thinking that was that 3 months lter debt collectors we contcting me for outstnding payments up August They re saying I never cancelled my account. Even though I couldnt get the code until I pid my final bill.
So now I have two mobile phone companies Blacklisting me as well as two debt collection agencies for the same debt can they do that?0 -
Interesting - where did Vodafone come into your Orange/EE dispute?
I can't understand your latest post at all, which leads me to believe, you probably are the type of person who does't listen to what people say to you.
The short answer to your question, is that yes based on what you've written, you owe money to EE and you owe money to Vodafone.0 -
