SIM name.

Samsung M30s phone. Dual sim phone. Initially had a BT sim installed. Now has a Lebara sim. Phone works as it should, calls, texts etc..
In settings "connections" "sim card manager" "SIM 2". Shows BT unknown number. It's not a BT sim though, Lebara. I can't find a way to change it from BT to Lebara.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I realise this is very trivial but it's got my curiosity!

Don't think you can do it i just had a look on my sony ericsson phone its an old one i use to change phone number.
I use it for when i change providers sometimes the old number stays on the sim card and i change to the new one but there nothing to change the name.

On my Oneplus 7 Pro it's in the sim settings, so settings -> WiFi and internet -> sim and network ->  and then click on the sim you want to rename in sim settings, the second option is Sim Name, clicking on that gives the option to rename.

Samsung has a skin over Android, so your settings might not be ordered exactly the same.

  • Yes, it's the One UI. d123, that's the procedure I've tried in the settings.
I suspect sdduk is correct. There is an option to change the sim name but when I attempt that there's a message advising it's already been done and remains as BT!
    Thanks both for your input.
As I said, it's a triviality, not major and only attracted my curiosity.
There's no way I'm going to reset the phone, which would no doubt "fix" it, for something as minor as this.
