  • Why don't you start telling the truth? Or will that not work on a public forum?

Surely common sense would suggest speaking to someone before taking out an expensive phone contract that they don't need. And even then I imagine you could cancel the contract within so many days.
    This story is amusing.

So you took out 2 contracts ( plus phones) for wife and daughter, they said current ones were ok so you sold the phones.

Whats happened to the contracts eg the monthly payments ?

Why would you take out new contracts before asking if the current contracts were ok ?

Why not just return the phones ?

    More holes than swiss cheese.

I thought you only pay the contract if you activate the sim and start using it? And yes I managed to get 2 contracts out as I had a job before this virus with a perfect credit score!

will I be able to return the sims and get out of contract and what do I do regarding my bank as no one has helped me so far
    If this is genuine...

No, the contract is paying for the phones. Of course you can’t get a subsidized or free phone, sell it, and then not make the payments that you agreed to. You’ve just thrown away well over a thousand pounds.

On the question about your bank, you will have had the account closed for accepting money from multiple fraudulent  payments. Tell the bank what happened and hopefully after they have investigated they’ll just repay the funds to the original accounts and the-open yours.

How did you send the phones, do you have the address to go round and try to retrieve them?

    Mixed in with astounding stupidity.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

If person buying the phones was honest the OP would still have problems. The phones would be blocked in a few months and I can't see the buyers taking it lying down

You've got to be absolutely joking?

If any of this is true, you signed a contract to pay the line rental for 24 or 36 months. You can terminate the contract by paying the remaining months worth of line rental.

You expect a mobile provider to give you £2,000 worth of phones and just happily let you stop paying them because you feel like it?

Pull the other one. You've signed the contracts. You have a contractual obligation to pay them for the number of months stated on the contracts. Simple as that. Black and white.

You allowed fraud to take place on your bank account so the bank rightfully closed it, and will have put a fraud marker on your CIFAS file. This will be there for six years. You can't change that. You don't just hand out your bank details to random strangers from Gumtree or anywhere else.

You might be able top open a Cashplus account in the mean time to receive benefits and make payments out of.
