Money, house, job and health worries really have affected people I naively never expected them to.1 -

I put a strategy in place many years ago, on how to cope with the next recession/panic, I am pleased to say for the most part it is working well. Investments that I thought would lose the most money have and defence funds have done that they needed to do. So pretty pleased considering the circumstances. The most important thing now is to not panic and take the long term view, it's going to take a lot of patience.0

I think it's been reinforced that when there are 24 hour news channels then there will be a 24 hour flow of news. Almost all of it can be avoided - it's just one bandwagon after another. That if you have a solid home life/base you can weather most storms.
That money is not that important unless you don't have any/enough for the needs of your family. That an overload of bad news can bring even the most optimistic person down, and that it is best avoided as much as you can.
That life can change in an instant.
