Advice on returning bitcoins to cash

Hi, I feel I may have fallen foul of a scam?? Maybe not but I was looking at possible fx trading, paid some money which they turned into Bitcoins. I regretted doing it so asked to cancel and get my money back. They say I cannot do that without transferring over 9,000 euros to the Block chain (don't really know anything about this)before they can transfer it back to me. I don't have 9,000 euros and even if I did I don't feel comfortable giving them more money. They went away and came back to me saying that if I send them copies of 3 months worth of bank statements they can see about lowering the amount I need to transfer to them to get my money back - still this doesn't sound right? Does anyone know if this is true that you have to provide bank statements plus give more money to get your bitcoins transferred and paid back? They say if I don't provide this by 20 April then my bank account will be blocked and I will have a bad credit rating. Please can someone who understands Bitcoins, obviously more than I do tell me have I been conned? How can I get my money back without providing what they ask and will I get blocked by the bank? I am getting desperate now as I cannot find any information that confirms what I have been told. Please help. Thank you.

Everything they are saying is a lie designed to get more money out of you.Understand these people are pond life, they are the lowest scumbags imaginable.DO NOT give them any more money for anything, ever. You have lost the money already handed over.'We don't need to be smarter than the rest; we need to be more disciplined than the rest.' - WB1

You've been scammed. Write it off and move on. Parts of the bitcoin universe are a sewer

How did you find this bitcoin company? If you found them via something like a social network (e.g. facebook, twitter, etc) or google then please do not do that again as places like that are full of scams. Recommendations from friends/acquaintances can also be dodgy as they can be drawn in by the same method that it looks like you were unfortunately drawn in.1

Obviously do not send them any bank statements or anything else with sensitive personal information on it.
The good news is that a couple of criminals operating out of a bedroom in Eastern Europe (which is what you are obviously dealing with) cannot freeze your bank account, or affect your credit rating, or do any of the other things they will threaten in an attempt to scare you into sending them more money. So while you have most likely lost whatever money you have already given them, you are not going to lose any more unless you actually send them more.2 -
Please name the company Lunabelle so the next time someone google searches them before parting with their cash this thread will show up as a warning. Potentially also report it to action fraud to make sure they are aware of the company too.
Well done for not handing any more cash over and recognising it for what it is. I hope it wasn't a considerable amount of cash.1 -
If your story is true please name the company to help others that may find this thread when searching for information about it.1

Clever name. So vague with common words it's hard to find them on a search engine. There do seem to be several reports of them on the 'Who called me from xxx' sites. No reputable company cold calls
