Problems with quoting

When I try to quote a previous poster, and no matter what length my reply is, I keep getting the message that the reply body is one character short. Any reason?
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

It's probably because you're putting your reply in the quote box. You put your text in the white bit below the blue bit.
For example...
Some people only exist as examples of what to avoid....2 -
