V149 with the current prices shows £150 for 12m single and £150 for 12m single DD
Not unusual for the DVLA to publish conflicting information though. Check the V149 prices.

Wonder if ones partially pre-budget? Or someone got bored typing the prices and started daydreaming?

01-17 - https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables/rates-for-cars-registered-on-or-after-1-march-2001
Everything £150/year and above has a £5 difference, L and M have a £10 difference. Cheap stuff no difference.
Pre-01 - https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables/rates-for-cars-and-light-goods-vehicles-registered-before-1-march-2001
<1550 £5 difference, 1550cc+ No difference.
Motorhomes - https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables/rates-for-motorhomes
No difference
Other vehicles - https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables/other-vehicle-tax-rates
LGVs except early Euro4/5 adopters, £5
Motorcycles and tricycles 150cc+, £1-2 difference
It's very odd indeed. I wonder if it's simply they've forgotten to put the inflationary increases in the single-DD column, consistently. Short of trawling through an archived page, though...0 -
AdrianC. Who knows. Not a clue on what date those pages are from? Cannot see a date here?
Are they old links or current links? Was is something they trialled and gave up on or still current?
The V149 form does appear to be upto date though.
2019 and 2020 V149 forms.

That would seem to confirm the "cockup not conspiracy" angle.

If it's £5 cheaper to pay the lump by DD then I'd do that then cancel the DD once it has been paid. Easy £5 money saving. Win Win!

Someone not checking what they were inputting or missed that section when the prices changed.
Not surprising when you look at how many sections they have now. Gone from one price suits all cars then 2 prices
depending on the engine size. And they just seem to add more groups some of which only applies to certain years and
then the groups for additional payments on new cars.
