    Unfortunately think it's more just a system for them to ease getting through cancellations, date changes etc going forward. Once they have cleared through a lot of holidays up to June 17th, they will start on the ones after more than likely. Ours was booked with them for 15th of June which we would of happily moved back a couple months, however i can't see any point in this either (purely just guessing that would get cancelled to). So we shall probably ask for a refund now as next year we planned on going Vegas & Jet2 obviously don't travel there.

    Does anyone know how they are cancelling flights?  At the moment when I log in to their customer management online, it just says they will waiver the admin fee if we move the flight but no cancellation options are available  on this. 

    I can't really deal with Jet 2 direct as we booked with a tour operator who booked the Jet 2 flight themselves as part of our package.  The tour operator just says we need to wait until Jet 2 send something through via email, but they aren't really explaining when and how this will be done.

    I suspect they are doing it in chronological order.

    The e-mail I got today said they were contacting people in travel date order.
    looking on their facebook site a lot of people have got through on the phone line and cancelled and already received money back but I was just on hold for an hour and gave up, will try again in a few days.
    they do seem to be pushing for you just to change dates but not a lot of use if you have booked time off from work as not everyone can take their holidays in the last few months of the year, we also have another booked with them for September and one with Virgin in November (already lost Russia two weeks ago and Expedia saying up to 3 months for refund from airline)
    but its all better than being ill

    They have holidays available for 2021, that not an option?

    I know Jet2 are well regarded, we have used them with no issues, but its not at their behest to make a decision on when to start their flight and holidays!

    The actual story is Jet2 have taken the decision to cancel all flights and holidays up to 16th June.  It stops anyone booked for after this date seeking refund at this stage.

    Considering we were told last week this was a 6 month process, going back to 'normal' travels in just over 2 months is optimistic.

    I refer you to my earlier point. They had to set a cutoff somewhere. Doing it week by week wouldnt be fair on anyone so this is a sensible decision to draw a line in the sand (which probably gets extended again).

    No different to TUI who have their line set 2 weeks previous as it stands.

    No they are not.  There are people on FB who had refunds for holidays due to have started weeks after mine.  I’m still waiting for mine (I was one of the very early cancellations).  From the comments on FB I am not alone.

    Whether they are doing things chronologically, alphabetically or randomly doesn't change the fact that they will get in touch eventually and we need to wait until they do.  Every unneccessary phone call takes somebody away from the process of doing the refund.
