BT Wi-Fi data limit reached (4GB) - I'm on unlimited broadband package?!

Options
I have been fortunate enough to be working from home since the whole COVID lockdown first started, so am using more wifi than I would normally within a working week as constantly on Zoom mtgs and emails etc.
Also taking respite viewing youtube videos to keep me sane.
However, I keep getting a notification popup on my laptop stating I am near my wifi data limit of 4GB???
I cant get a hold of anyone at BT - which is fine during this time but am panicking that after this is all over I will be left with a huge bill.

Has anyone else been getting this same message or know what  can do/should do?

I cant stop using my laptop!!

Thanks in advance
Abda

Firstly, I assume you mean you’re near your broadband data limit, not wifi, I’ve never heard of wifi being limited.
Secondly, are you sure it’s a BT message and not just a data warning message set up somewhere on the laptop? If it is a BT warning though, you’ll need to contact BT, which of course is difficult at the moment, but they’ll have the best chance of being able to tell you what’s happening.

A screenshot of the message showing you nearing the limit might be helpful in tracking down where it's coming from/what the problem is

Are you sure your laptop is connected to your home WiFi, and not a nearby BT hotspot?
If you see "BTWifi-with-FON" or "BTWifi-X" these are BT WiFi hotspots that most likely created by your own router.
